Paris Boutik L’Épicerie
Paris Boutik L’Épicerie is a duplex suite near Gare de Lyon and Bastille. The concept recalls the grocery shop that once occupied the space: tins, packets, bottles, books and kitchen objects remain part of the interior rather than serving as generic decoration.
The ground floor combines a small kitchen and living area; the bedroom and bathroom are on the lower level. It feels closer to a private apartment than a conventional hotel room, while still providing the services expected from a short city stay.
A few places to photograph in Paris
Gare de Lyon makes the rest of the city easy to reach. Beyond the principal monuments, we returned to several smaller locations: La Maison Rose and Le Consulat in Montmartre; the arcades and striped columns of Palais Royal; Shakespeare and Company near the Seine; and Rue de l’Université for a street-level view of the Eiffel Tower.
Le Village Royal offers a polished passage near Madeleine, while Au Vieux Paris d’Arcole provides a more intimate façade close to Notre-Dame. The Latin Quarter remains one of my preferred areas for an informal lunch or dinner because of its broad range of cuisines.
